It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about the counselling process. If there are specific or acute reasons for your visit, please inform me in advance to focus more directly on your current concerns.

Counselling helps by providing a safe space to explore your feelings, understand the roots of your anxiety or depression, and develop strategies to manage and mitigate symptoms. Techniques used in sessions can include behavioural adjustments, cognitive reframing, and stress reduction practices.

Counsellors focus on helping clients develop coping strategies for a wide range of issues, using therapeutic techniques. Psychologists often have a broader scope, dealing with more severe psychological issues and may conduct assessments. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can prescribe medication and typically handle the most severe mental health disorders.

The frequency of sessions varies depending on your individual needs. Initially, weekly or fortnightly sessions are common to build rapport and start making progress. Over time, we may adjust the frequency based on your progress and preferences.
